HOPE-CARES

In 2025, HOPE Supported Employment Program combined with the CARES team, creating a collaborative support network for individuals who are incarcerated and preparing for reentry.

CARES navigators focus on a holistic approach to reentry. Navigating the many options and supports available to individuals including connections to mental or physical health services, basic needs and a Peer Support Specialist to walk along side people through the challenges and successes of the reentry experience.

Employment Specialists will work one on one with individuals to identify their hopes and strengths to find employment of their choice. Together, we can develop resumes, work on interview skills, explore employment opportunities and provide connections to necessary resources related to employment.

We are also available to individuals who are currently in the community that have been released within the last 18 months from a state correctional facility, or on parole or post release supervision.

The HOPE-CARES Team served 408 people in obtaining employment, housing, food, clothing, and navigating all the resources provided throughout the Lincoln community. The team also facilitated a peer prevention group which was attended by 635 people who are currently incarcerated.
